Types of data
- Discrete data or ungrouped data: Its information collected by counting and usually takes integral values that do not lie within a given range
- Continuous data or grouped data: It is information that takes values within a given range
Frequency Distribution
A frequency distribution table is a method used to organize the data given so that it makes it more meaningful and easier to understand. A frequency distribution table has columns which are classified as seen below.
- The first column has all the outcomes as individual values or in the form of class intervals.
- The second column of the table includes tally marks of each outcome, which also tells us about the frequency using vertical lines. It is optional.
- The third column tells us about the frequency of each outcome
