The computer hardware is a component of a computer which includes the physical parts of the computer that you can touch, see and feel. Examples of a computer hardware are;
    1. Central processing unit (CPU) is also called a central processor, main processor or just processor, is the electronic circuitry that executes instructions comprising a computer program. The CPU performs basic arithmetic, logic, controlling, and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions.
    2. Random Access Memory; Random-access memory isa form of computer memory that can be read and changed in any order, typically used to store working data and machine code.
    3. Monitor; A computer monitor is an output device that displays information in pictorial or textual form.
    4. A computer mouse (plural mice, sometimes mouses) is a hand-held pointing device that detects two-dimensional motion relative to a surface. This motion is typically translated into the motion of a pointer on a display, which allows a smooth control of the graphical user interface of a computer.
    5. A computer keyboard; is a peripheral input device modeled after the typewriter keyboard which uses an arrangement of buttons or keys to act as mechanical levers or electronic switches. Replacing early punched cards and paper tape technology, interaction via teleprinter-style keyboards have been the main input method for computers since the 1970s, supplemented by the computer mouse since the 1980s.
    6. Computer Data Storage; this includes, the hard disk drive or solid-state drive usually referred to as the storage drive.
    7. Computer speakers, or multimedia speakers, are speakers sold for use with computers, although usually capable of other audio uses, e.g. for an MP3 player. Most such speakers have an internal amplifier and consequently require a power source, which may be by a mains power supply often via an AC adapter, batteries, or a USB port.
    8. A motherboard; provides the electrical connections by which the other components of the system communicate. Unlike a backplane, it also contains the central processing unit and hosts other subsystems and devices.

    The computer hardware is also categorized into input, processing, output and storage hardware. Each component play a vital role in the functioning of a computer system. For example input sends data for processing, processing is then done by the processor, output then displays the processed information to the end user who determines how it will be used and stored by storage hardware. QN. Do you think a person can be regarded as a hardware in these processes since he is also a component in information systems structure?
