Once such app that is gaining popularity is “Xiaohongshu” or the Little Red Book. Similar to Instagram, users on Xiaohongshu can share short videos and photos, shop for popular products, and connect with other users. It has over 300 million monthly users and a valuation of US $20 billion. But Americans are now drawn to this app because of the blunt advice they get on it. So, after Tiktok, will another Chinese app disrupt the United States? Should Washington be wary? Palki Sharma tells you.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has warned the US Congress of the threat from China.

Hours before the US, Japan and the Philippines begin their first joint security summit in Washington, Mr Kishida told US lawmakers that Beijing presents the biggest threat to the peace and stability of the international community. He's the first Japanese leader for nine years to address both houses of Congress. Kishida also praised Ameican leadership on the world stage.
