Solar Eclipse is an astronomical phenomenon which occurs when the Moon obscures the Sun when observing from the Earth. This is possible because even though the Sun is much bigger than the Moon, it is much farther away, making their angular diameters equal with respect to the Earth.
During a Solar Eclipse as the moon blocks the brightly visible photosphere of the Sun, the less dense but extremely hot outer atmosphere of the Sun, that is the Corona becomes visible. In this video, we also discuss some very fascinating and dynamic activities that take place in the Solar Corona.
It is important to note that the Solar Eclipse must never be viewed directly with your naked eyes. This video discusses a few methods of how to view the eclipse safely, such as solar goggles, pinhole camera or ball projection.
