M23 rebels nearing Goma: Fighting intensifies in eastern DR Congo

Concern is growing in Democratic Republic of Congo after M23 rebels encircled the strategic town of Sake in the east of the country. The Congolese army and UN peacekeepers have been struggling to contain the armed group’s advance on Goma North Kivu’s provincial capital.
