How to Invite Guests to Join Your Livestream

1. Enable Guest Feature in Livestream Settings

  • Before you can invite guests, make sure the guest or co-host feature is enabled for your livestream.
  • This setting may be found under livestream settings or event configuration. Some platforms allow you to toggle this feature on or off depending on your stream type (public, private, etc.).

2. Prepare Your Stream

  • Set up your livestream as usual, including the title, description, and any other basic settings.
  • Make sure the privacy settings are adjusted accordingly (for example, ensure that only invited guests can join if it's a private session).

3. Generate the Invite Link

  • Find the guest invite option: Look for an option that says Invite Guests, Send Invitation, or Add Co-host. This is typically found in the livestream or event setup area.
  • Generate the invitation link: Tebtalks may provide you with a unique URL that you can send to your guests. This link will allow them to join the livestream directly.

4. Send the Invitation to Guests

  • Once you have the guest invite link, send it to your guests via email, chat, or any messaging platform you prefer.
  • Ensure that guests have the necessary instructions (such as logging into Tebtalks or creating an account if required) before joining.
  • If necessary, you can also assign roles (e.g., co-host, guest, moderator) depending on their access level in the stream.

5. Set Up the Livestream Guest's Audio and Video

  • Test their connection: Have your guests test their camera and microphone beforehand, either in a private session or by joining a test stream. This ensures they are ready when it’s time to go live.
  • Adjust settings: Make sure the audio and video from your guests are working well. You may need to adjust their audio levels or ensure their camera quality is clear.
  • If using external software like OBS, ensure their video and audio feeds are properly integrated into your stream setup.

6. Allow Guests to Join the Stream

  • On the day of the stream, wait for your guests to click on the invite link you sent them.
  • Once they join, ensure that they’re positioned correctly in the stream layout, and check their audio and video quality.
  • You may need to give them the necessary permissions to join (e.g., click “Allow” or “Accept” when they enter the waiting room).

7. Control Guest Access During the Stream

  • As the host, you can mute or unmute guests, turn their video on/off, or remove them from the stream as needed.
  • Keep an eye on guest interaction and make sure their audio and video remain in sync throughout the event.

8. Engage with Guests

  • Once all guests are in the stream, make introductions and start engaging with them and your audience.
  • Use the chat or reactions to enhance interaction, and allow your guests to share their thoughts or answers in real-time.

9. End the Stream

  • Once the livestream ends, you can remove the guest(s) from the stream.
  • Optionally, you can archive the stream or send thank-you notes to your guests for joining.
