Before you start the livestream, ensure that the comment section or live chat feature is enabled for your stream.
You may need to assign moderators if you expect a large number of comments or if you want to maintain control over what appears in the chat.
2. Start the Livestream
Begin your livestream as usual on Tebtalks. Make sure you're logged in as the host or have necessary permissions to manage the comments.
3. Find the Comment to Pin
As the livestream progresses, comments will start appearing in the live chat section.
Scroll through the comments and find the one you’d like to pin. This could be:
A question you want to address.
A comment with important information.
A particularly engaging or positive comment that you want to highlight.
4. Pin the Comment
Hover over the comment you wish to pin (or tap and hold on mobile).
Look for a three-dot menu or options icon next to the comment.
Select Pin Comment from the options available.
Once pinned, the comment will be highlighted at the top of the chat or in a dedicated pinned comments section, making it visible to everyone watching the livestream.
5. Unpin or Change the Pinned Comment
If you want to unpin a comment, simply hover over it again and select Unpin Comment from the menu.
You can pin a new comment by repeating the process and pinning another comment.
6. Use Pinned Comments to Engage Viewers
Pin important questions during a Q&A session for everyone to see.
Pin important announcements such as event changes, links, or calls to action (e.g., “Check out our website for more info!”).
Pin positive feedback or fun comments to create a positive atmosphere and encourage engagement.
7. Monitor Comments
Keep an eye on the pinned comments throughout your livestream to ensure they’re relevant and engaging.
You can update the pinned comment as the stream progresses to keep the conversation fresh and interactive.
